In Hindu culture, cows are considered sacred and holy. This is why they are referred to as Gow Mata or Gou Mata, where Gow/ Gou means cow and Mata means mother. Cows are worshipped with devotion and care.

Doing Go pujas online, also called Gow Puja and Gou Puja, is equivalent to doing the puja of all divine deities as in Hindu religion, the roots of Go Puja run very deep. It is said that a cow is the abode of all Gods, Goddesses and Demigods as it is Goddess Kamadhenu, the one who grants all wishes.

Cow worship is very fortunate for devotees as it blesses them to have annadaan flowing through their lives. Since Lord Krishna loved the cows dearly, worshipping the cows means worshipping Lord Krishna himself.

In the Go Puja online, the cows are left to roam in an open area. They are offered foods such as fried rice, banana, and sweet laddus of Gud, along with rice, curd, tender coconut, milk, betel nut and leaves etc. to satiate their hunger and then a puja is done in front of the cow with good faith and devotion.

Once the puja is over, aarti of the cow is done with a grateful heart and prasad is distributed amongst the worshippers present. Our online purohits take care of the details to give you the maximum results from the Go Puja.
