In Hindu culture, there is an old tradition that all new vehicles must be worshipped before being used. The online puja booking is done so that the new vehicle is blessed and safe from accidents, losses and dangers. The blessed vehicle becomes a source of prosperity for the family and proves to be beneficial.
The online puja for Buying New Vehicle also helps in avoiding bad luck for as long as the vehicle is with the family. This is of great significance as God Vishwakarma is appeased through the puja, hence protecting the driver and the vehicle from sudden misfortunes.
The puja is usually done right after the new vehicle is brought home, and is usually done by a pandit. To perform the puja, the new vehicle is washed and wiped clean. Puja participants are generally the vehicle owner, their family and the online purohit.
A swastika or Om sign is drawn on the new vehicle with either turmeric paste or kumkum paste. After this, the puja starts and once it is done, a coconut is broken on the concrete in front of the car.
Or 4 lemons are placed under each of the 4 tires and the car is driven over them, squishing them in process. This symbolizes ending all future troubles related to the vehicle.
